Getting the judgment is not the end of the file. Until an execution file is opened, nothing moves — the tenant does not leave, and the money does not arrive.
What Can Be Enforced
The RDC registers execution files for every type of request that has been adjudged — eviction, a financial claim, or the renewal of a tenancy contract. The document the file is built on is the writ of execution: the judgment endorsed with the executory formula.
Documents Required to Open the File
- A copy of the writ of execution — the judgment endorsed with the executory formula
- A copy of the receipt for an amount deposited against an appeal file, where one exists
- A copy of the offer-and-deposit receipt where the request is contract renewal
- A bank letter or statement showing the applicant’s IBAN, where it needs updating
- Any documents supporting the execution request, according to what is being asked for

Following an Eviction Through to Handover
- Open the execution file on the judgment
- Follow the notification of the party against whom execution is sought
- Follow the setting of the eviction steps and the eviction date
- Submit requests about the eviction date where there is a reason to
- Follow the decisions issued on the file and the handover of the property
Filing Without an Emirates ID
The execution file is opened by the party seeking execution, and the RDC works from the Emirates ID for individuals. Where only a passport is held, the file is opened through a notarized POA to someone who holds an Emirates ID. The same POA carries the e-requests that follow, so it is drafted with those powers in it rather than for the opening step alone.

Under the RDC’s current online procedure, the judgment is first obtained with the Execution Writ Stamp electronically or by email from the Registration Section, and then the execution documents are submitted.
