Cancellation and notification are related — but not identical
The cancellation or revocation addresses the principal's authority granted to the agent. Notification addresses proof that the agent has been informed. Depending on the POA and the circumstances, one or both steps may be relevant.

The current UAE Civil Transactions Law regulates the expiry and revocation of agency. Article 897 lists termination events; Article 898 permits the principal to dismiss or restrict the agent but contains exceptions where third-party rights are attached or the agency was issued for the agent's benefit; and Article 899 may require compensation for damage caused by dismissal at an inappropriate time or without acceptable justification. Article 902 is narrower: it specifically addresses a litigation agent and distinguishes acts within that litigation mandate before and after the agent learns of dismissal.

POAs issued outside the UAE
A local UAE step does not automatically alter the foreign issuing record. The correct approach depends on the issuing jurisdiction, how the POA is being used in the UAE and which recipient needs evidence that the authority has ended.

The route depends on where the POA was issued and what you need to stop. A UAE notice or local process does not automatically amend a foreign issuing record.
