How to Notarize Documents for Dubai Without Visiting the UAE | E-Notary Dubai

Three legal ways to get UAE-notarized documents when you are outside the UAE — UAE Embassy, video call notarization, and Apostille.

Can You Get a UAE Notarized Document Without Being in Dubai?

Yes. There are three recognized legal methods to get documents notarized for use in the UAE (or notarized in the UAE for use abroad) when you cannot physically be in Dubai:

Method 1 — UAE Embassy Notarization

Any UAE Embassy or Consulate abroad can notarize documents for UAE use. You appear in person at the UAE Embassy in your country, present your passport and the document to be notarized, and the Embassy notarizes it. The document then usually needs MOFA attestation in the UAE before it can be used here.

Method 2 — Remote E-Notary (Online Notarization)

Dubai Courts approved remote e-notarization for certain document types. Through our service: You connect with a UAE-licensed Notary Public via a live video session. Your identity is verified remotely. The document is notarized and delivered to you digitally or by courier. This is particularly useful for POAs, affidavits, and consent letters.

Method 3 — Apostille Your Home Country Documents

If you have a document from your home country that needs to be used in the UAE, and your country is in the Hague Convention, you can get an Apostille on your home country document before sending it to the UAE. Note: UAE immigration and some authorities still prefer UAE-notarized documents.

Which Method Is Best for a Power of Attorney?

For most POA situations: Remote e-notarization is fastest and most convenient. UAE Embassy notarization is the most traditional and universally accepted. Both are fully legal and accepted by UAE courts and authorities.
